Snowy on Ice
I know that many of the Snowy Owls that winter near the Great Lakes hunt small water fowl out on the ice near open water. Until this afternoon I had yet to see one along the shoreline. I was surprised to see this one take off as I was eyeing up my icescape composition!

Everybody's Moving to Collingwood
This Snowy Owl has been hanging out in a very busy industrial/commercial area of town. She doesn't have far to go though to hunt water fowl.

After an afternoon of hunting for snowy owls, I came across this beauty.
The Snowy Owl at first looked curious when the crows started harassing it.

Welcome back! I'm so happy to see you again! This is my first Snowy Owl sighting of this winter, earlier than in recent years.
