I suspect that today, day 3, of the young cygnets' lives is their last in the nest. They'll soon move out with their parents into the wide world of the bay.
I found the swan family this afternoon on the western side of the harbour, a fair distance from the nest. They are sticking really close to their parents. Hopefully this will keep the three day old cygnets safe from the fish, turtles and mink that would do them harm.
