2010 - Day 157. June 6, 2010. It rained most of the day, but when the sun peaked out late afternoon the sailboats started heading out of the harbour.
2010 Day -149. May 29, 2010. Daily Shoot - Look up today and make a photograph of the sky. Cloudy, clear, or somewhere in between? Tell the story of your sky today ( http://dailyshoot.com/assignments/195 ) . A very early morning walk in Harbourview Park, as the sun started its climb above the horizon, rewarded me with rare stillness - not a cloud in the sky, barely a ripple in the water. In the slight morning mist it was hard to tell where water ended and sky started. I know today's story is about the sky, but including its mirrored reflection in the water really emphasizes the calmness and creates a mood of solitude.
2010 - Day 123. May 3, 2010. Daily Shoot - Make a composition of a wall and what is against it: art, shelves, etc. Consider the rule of thirds and watch your light ( http://dailyshoot.com/assignments/169 ) . The mural, "Heading Dockside", painted by Beverley Smith in 2000, depicts shift change at the now defunct Collingwood Shipyards. The mural adorns the east wall of the historic building that is now the sales centre for The Shipyards condo/commercial waterfront development.
